Experience
Upon completing my law degree at the University of Houston Law Center, I began working as a prosecutor with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office. As a former prosecutor with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, I have held the following positions:
- Felony Prosecutor (Criminal District Court Number Four, Criminal District Court Number One)
- Misdemeanor Prosecutor (County Criminal Court Number Nine, County Criminal Court Number One, County Criminal Court Number Three)
- Grand Jury Prosecutor
- Special Prosecutor appointed in Johnson County
When hiring a criminal lawyer, trial experience is a must. During my tenure at the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office and as a criminal defense attorney, I had the opportunity to litigate a number of criminal jury trials for cases ranging from driving while intoxicated to murder. In the area of DWI, I have tried cases ranging from breath and blood test refusal cases to test cases and drug DWI cases. I have also made hundreds of grand jury presentations and successfully had my client’s cases no-billed and reduced by a grand jury.
I have received and continue to receive extensive training and continuing education in all areas of the criminal law of Texas. In the area of DWI alone, I have received specialized training in the investigation and litigation of Intoxication Manslaughter, Intoxication Assault, Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, and both alcohol and drug-related DWI cases.
